In this two-part course we will examine these questions in more detail and signpost resources to help you strengthen your provision.
Inclusive, invitational and inspiring Collective Worship (three part course) in Church of England schools
This three part course is aimed at people who contribute to Collective Worship in schools. The course dates and times are:

The new Collective Worship guidance document identifies what best practice in terms of collective worship could look like in Church of England schools. In this three-part course we will examine this in detail and enable you to take time to audit your current provision and reflect and make improvements.

We are honoured and delighted to be abe to host Tom Bennett in January 2022 when he will be delivering a seminar for us on Behaviour, providing guidance to teachers on how to 'run the room'!
Tom was a teacher in the East End of London for thirteen years. Currently he is the Director and founder of researchED, a grass-roots, teacher-led project that aims to make teachers research-literate and pseudo-science proof.
Since 2013 researchED has grown from a tweet to an international conference movement that so far has spanned three continents and six countries.
In 2009 he was made a Teacher Fellow of Corpus Christi College, Cambridge University. From 2008-2016 he wrote a weekly column for the TES and TES online, and is the author of four books on teacher-training, behaviour management and educational research. In 2015 he was long listed for the GEMS Global Teacher Prize, and in that year was listed as one of the Huffington Post’s ‘Top Ten Global Educational Bloggers’
In March 2017, Tom published an independent review of behaviour in schools. He recently chaired the Behaviour Management Group for the DfE and is currently their Independent Behaviour Advisor. He coaches teachers and schools internationally in all aspects of behaviour management and research integration.
Tom currently leads the Department for Education’s Behaviour Hubs project, a £10 million program designed to reboot behaviour skills in disadvantaged schools throughout the UK.

Tom Sherrington is an education consultant and author. He writes the popular blog teacherhead.com and his books include The Learning Rainforest and bestseller Rosenshine’s Principles in Action. More recently, Tom co-authored the best-selling Teaching WalkThrus first volume with Oliver Caviglioli.
We are honoured to be able to welcome Tom to take us through their follow-up second volume - WalkThrus 2 - in which Tom and Oliver have teamed up with 10 experienced educators to present 50 brand new WalkThrus, covering all the key areas of teaching: behaviour and relationships; curriculum planning; explaining and modelling; questioning and feedback; practice and retrieval; and Mode B teaching.
With 30 years' experience as a physics and maths teacher and school leader, including 11 years as a Headteacher, Tom is in demand from schools across the UK and around the world to deliver CPD for teachers and leadership teams. He works with several schools and colleges providing consultancy support on curriculum and improving the quality of teaching. Tom is a regular keynote speaker and contributor to conferences and education festivals.
We are extremely pleased to confirm that Tricia will be leading three sessions for us on The Science of Learning. Session 1 will be applicable to all phases and Sessions 2 and 3 will be phase specific as per the below outline: -

After 20 years of teaching and leading in schools in London and New York, Tricia founded TailoredPractice - to pursue a passion to make research more practical for educators. Her goal for TailoredPractice is to communicate complex ideas in more straightforward and meaningful ways and create curricula and strategies that are grounded in research and shaped by expertise.
Since starting TailoredPractice, Tricia has partnered with numerous British and international schools and presented at a wide range of education conferences including regular appearances at Learning and the Brain conferences in the US and the Festival of Education in the UK. Her book, Connect the Dots: The Collective Power of Relationships, Memory and Mindset in the Classroom, is a culmination of her work over the past several years.
Previously, Tricia was Director of a large creative arts faculty and a Lead Practitioner at an “Outstanding” all-through 4-18 school in London, Head of Department, English and media teacher and an Associate Lecturer for English at Goldsmith’s University teacher training programme. Before that, she taught English at a high school in Brooklyn, New York.
Tricia’s other roles include: Strategic Advisor to Inclusive Schools, whose important work aims to bring gender equality to our schools; ambassador for Leadership Matters and a fellow for the Royal Society of the Arts, where she co-coordinated the RSA Mindfulness Network for many years.

This course will introduce teachers and school leaders to the current SIAMS framework and self-evaluation form documents. It will offer guidance on what is inspected and how to prepare fully for a future SIAMS inspection. It is aimed at all staff and governors and will be an interactive, informative and enjoyable course. The course has been costed to encourage more than one member of staff/governor to attend.
For many children the loss of their school structure and daily routine will have caused significant trauma over the course of the pandemic and we cannot underestimate the impact of the loss of their social interaction. This conference will provide you with both inspirational and practical sessions – allowing you to take away from the event what you need to ensure a recovery of the Social, Emotional and Mental Health of the children in your school / setting.
